Soundtrack

We have found a suitable song by an unsigned band named 'King Mob' it has a good drum beat which fits in well with the forest scene as it builds tension and adds to the sex appeal.

To do list

To do:
  • We will add in the logo at the very beginning. This consists of an old book with the name 'Sister's Grim Production' written in red lipstick with the book being opened with red nails.
  • We have been discussing the types of credits we will add into our film sequence and looking at inspiration from films including 'Jennifer's Body'. We have decided to use fade-transitions called 'cross-disolve' throughout each clip.
  • With the editing, we need to add in the pictures of the 3 victims that she has already killed, flashing photos 1) as she's walking 2) as it zooms into her legs 3) after she's put her hood down.
  • Sort the background music out, we have found an unsigned band to use
  • Finally need to edit everything

Photos whilst filming

Below are some of the photos we took before filming, in order to get a feel for the atmosphere and mis en scene that would be in the sequence. We thought that the blood red of her coat on the woodland background contrasted well with one another and emphasised her femme fatal role. The red also portrays her dangerous characteristics and sex appeal to the audience.

Edits to the story

As we started editing our work we had realised that the bedroom scene took up a fair amount of time even after we had cut and edited the sequence, therefore when we filmed the rest of our film we cut out the part when 'Red' encounters the 'jogger' due to simply not having enough time to have that part in the film.

Although, not having this part in doesn't reveal too much of the story in the first opening sequence which could potentially be better because if we did include that part we would of witnessed her murder a man in the first two minutes which may have revealed too much of the story too early on. Not knowing much about her purpose and character in the first two minutes of the film adds to her mysteriousness and could perhaps make more people want to see the rest of the film to see what she is out to do rather than seeing it straight away.

Bedroom Scene - Mis en scene

The first image is the dressing table which 'Red' sits at to get ready in the first scene, the black wood can be seen as modern and classy but also dark and seductive this creates an intimate atmosphere for the bedroom.
In the second image we have our actress which plays 'Red' in her costume and posed as her character we chose the red mac with a hood as its a modern statement jacket which can be seen as classy yet mysterious as characters wearing macs are usually seen to be mysterious (spys or detectives). The colour red contrasts from her black dress and black stockings making the red jacket appear more vividly, also the red heels and red lipstick are a subtle add to 'Reds' Image and gives her the sex appeal we want our femme fatale style 'red riding hood' character to empower.

Filming

.We filmed the inside scene on Friday, we have edited the scenes to make them shorter and better quality. We have found that we need to redo one scene in order to make it better with better framing.
